Serenity Point Counseling Services will resume group treatment services beginning Monday, 3/20/20220, via telehealth technology. As a result of the COVID-19 crisis and recommendations for social distancing, State Agencies have provided waivers allowing Behavioral Health Agencies and their providers the use of telehealth technology and telephonic consultation.
Serenity Point Staff are connecting with clients to keep them engaged in their Mental Health and/or Substance Use Disorder services. Agency staff are receiving calls from clients and new referrals regarding their loss of employment and concern for their ability to continue or establish services.
Effective immediately Serenity Point will be suspending the collection of clients out of pocket co-pays for assessment services. Clients with financial contracts that become unemployed, monthly payments will be temporarily waived and any current or additional services will not accrual finance charges during the COVID-19 crisis.
Serenity Point encourages all clients and new referrals that are subjected to unemployment to contact Worksource and Department of Social and Health Services online services to determine eligibility for unemployment benefits and medical coverage.
