Adding Remote Mental Health Services

Serenity Point Counseling Services is accepting new patients for their remote Mental Health Professional.  Elizabeth Vargas, MSW, SWAICL have been added to the clinical team of Serenity Point.  Elizabeth will be providing Mental and Behavioral Health evaluation and referral services as well as treatment services, remotely, for individuals in one of our private and secure counseling offices and/or as needed from the privacy of the individuals’ home.

Elizabeth acquired her Master of Social Work degree from Seattle University (2022) and is currently a candidate for Social Worker Independent Clinical License.  Elizabeth is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish.

Elizabeth has experience working with both adolescents and adults in primary and specialty care settings with Kaiser Permanente, Federal Way and working with the HIV community through Harborview Medical Center, Seattle.

Elizabeth has experience in working with substance use disorders that enhance our co-occurring treatment team.

Notice to our community

Effective January 1, 2025, Serenity Point Counseling Services will no longer have the ability to accept referrals for substance use disorder evaluations or admissions for Medicaid members belonging to Molina Health Care.

Molina Health Care approached Serenity Point demanding a restructure of our five-year contract agreement that would lead to a severe financial short fall for providing services for their members within Walla Walla County.

After Serenity Point declined to restructure the terms of our contract agreement, Molina Heath Care presented Serenity Point with a notice of termination, without cause, effective February 12, 2025, ending our eighteen-year relationship.

Serenity Point will continue to provide care for those Molina members that are admitted prior to January 1, 2025.  For those that are in need of assistance for finding another Molina Health Care provider, Contact Molina Member Service at (800) 869-7165 or your Primary Care Provider.

As a long-standing provider in Walla Walla, we are deeply committed to the health of our community and regret very much this intrusion into our relationship.
